What your future may hold

As a Finance Associate you will be involved in a broad variety of Belgian and international banking, finance and debt capital markets matters, such as:

  • Debt finance matters, including syndicated and LMA-based financings;
  • Debt capital markets transactions, including covered bond programmes, EMTNs and other funding transactions (including in the digital assets space);
  • Structured finance and securitisation transactions.

On top of that you may also be involved in:

  • Financial regulatory work for banks, investment funds, payment service providers and other regulated entities (including in the digital finance space);
  • Corporate and M&A-related work in the financial sector.

Your skillset

  • You have a master degree in law in Belgium with excellent academic results (an international experience, such as secondments, a LL.M or an additional master degree is a plus);
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the banking & finance (or equivalent) practice group of a reputable law firm;
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French, with a good command of the other main national language and an excellent command of English (written and spoken);
  • You have strong technical capabilities with strong project management responsibility, ensuring timely delivery to high-quality standards;
  • You are willing to continue learning throughout the development of your career;
  • You are willing to develop relationships with clients, regulators and counterparties; 
  • You are a real team player, able to work effectively with others and act as a source of advice to colleagues, willing to share knowledge and expertise.
