What your future may hold
The objective of this role is to support LeasePlan Belgium (LPBE) in its daily business activity by handling all related compliance and privacy topics. The compliance and privacy officer will work with all departments of LeasePlan Belgium and will report directly to the Risk Director and to the Group Compliance and Privacy Officer.
You will support the following areas:
Compliance
- Implementing the group compliance and privacy structure locally, such as compliance and privacy policies, standards, and procedures. Draft and review local policies and standards if local laws and regulations require stricter rules.
- Overseeing the execution of the ongoing Compliance Risk assessment of changes in legislation, products, organizational processes, and employees.
- Facilitating the bi-annual Systematic Integrity Risk Analysis.
- Regular compliance reporting on KRIs/PKIs and monitoring (related to the banking license requirements).
- Handling assigned and escalated Counterparty Due Diligence alerts and advise on matches on screening lists.
- Providing regular trainings and raising awareness.
- Handling compliance incidents.
- Advising and challenging local management on compliance topics.
Privacy
- Ensuring compliance of contracts and local processes with the Binding Corporate Rules.
- Keeping the data processing register up-to-date and advise on/contribute to privacy assessments and monitor performance.
- Assessing incidents involving personal data, define incident response and keep a record of data breaches.
- Handling assigned and escalated data subject requests.
- Providing regular trainings and raising awareness.
Your skillset
- You hold a Master Degree in Law, or an appropriate qualification in compliance and privacy.
- You have at least 4 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in an international company (especially in the automotive or the leasing business) is a plus.
- You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch or French and a good command of the other national language. You have a very good knowledge of English (oral and written).
- You have strong analytical and communication skills.
- You are a pragmatic problem-solver who dares to take initiative.
- You are a team player.
- You are trustworthy, rigorous, punctual and able to set priorities.
- You are not afraid to take up you role as an independent function in the 2nd line of defense.
