Amongst a broad spectrum of expertise, Stibbe’s Employment law and Sports law team has a special focus on complex strategic employment and social security issues such as executive remuneration, cross-border employment, supplementary pensions, discrimination and restructuring. Furthermore, there is a strong engagement in corporate transactions, as well as close involvement in litigation. Moreover, the team has a specific expertise in all areas of sports law.
At Stibbe, employment and social security law are practised within a wider context in which aspects of other areas of law are also treated. As a consequence the team regularly works in close partnerships with their colleagues from the corporate, tax and administrative law teams.
In order to support its Brussels Employment law and Sports law team, Stibbe is looking for an associate who is passionate about employment law.
The Position
Why could working at Stibbe be challenging and rewarding for you? As an associate within the Employment law and Sports law team you will:
- Handle a broad variety of matters ranging from complex strategic employment issues, employment litigation, advise on individual and collective employment law matters, to negotiate and draft agreements, compensations and benefits schemes etc;
- Assist both private and public sector clients on large national and international projects with fellow associates from Stibbe’s various practice areas;
- Work on very diversified and high level cases and transactions and increase insights in complex strategic employment and social security issues and sports law;
- Handle files and projects from A to Z in Dutch, English and French.
Your Profile
- You have obtained a Belgian Master in Law and have an excellent academic record;
- You have between 1 and 5 years of relevant experience in employment law;
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a business proficiency in French and English;
- You are strongly focused on developing client relationships and delivering high-quality advice;
- You have a strong team spirit and excel in personal connections.
