Eubelius‘ broad Employment & Pensions practice advises clients regarding all aspects of employment and social security law, with a focus on strategic legal HR advice and representation in settlements and litigation. The team works for a strong roster of public and private sector clients, both in Belgium and beyond.

To reinforce the Employment & Pensions practice, Eubelius is looking for a(n) (Senior) Associate who is passionate about employment law.

The Position

As a(n) (Senior) Associate Employment Law at Eubelius your main responsibilities will be:

  • Advising both private and public sector clients on all aspects of employment and social security law (including pensions), with a focus on strategic legal HR advice and representation in settlements and litigation before Belgian and European courts;
  • Assisting clients throughout the entire employment relationship, with services ranging from drafting all types of tailor-made HR documents to advising on terms and conditions of employment (including compensation and benefits), modification and termination of employment relationships;
  • Assisting companies in the entire process of business restructurings, such as implementing structural changes in labour organisation, collective dismissal, closure of business, mergers and acquisitions, and transfer of undertaking;
  • Advising and assisting employers in matters concerning social dialogue, social conflicts and social elections, and drafting and negotiating collective labour agreements;
  • Presenting seminars/webinars, participating in multidisciplinary working groups and writing articles for publication;
  • Guiding junior members of the team and sharing your knowledge with them.

Your Profile

  • You obtained a Belgian Master in Law with strong academic results;
  • You have gained at least 5 years of experience in a law firm in Belgium in employment and social security law, and you are eager to take your knowledge and experience to the next level;
  • You are a dynamic, hands-on attorney with the ambition to further develop the Employment & Pensions practice at Eubelius;
  • You are a good communicator and a real team player;
  • You have an excellent knowledge of Dutch and a good knowledge of French and English.
