In Belgium Action just opened its 200th store, and will further continue its expansion. To complement Action’s succesfull management team and further develop HR we are looking for a Country HR Manager for Belgium and Luxemburg.
The Country HR Manager is part of the local department and reports directly to the Country General Manager BELUX and in dotted line to the International HR Director. The focus lies on contributing to the Group HR Strategy and policies, ensuring that the HR Strategy is correctly implemented in Belgium and Luxemburg.
The Country HR manager leads the Country HR Team that consists of 6 HR Advisors, the HR Legal Expert and the Safety, Wellbeing & Prevention Advisor and will collaborate closely with the HR Service Center Team.
You are in charge of a good, effective and efficient execution of all HR related Action-matters within Belgium and Luxemburg. You will be translating Group HR policies and instruments into local execution in close cooperation with local management and operations.
You will be working on:
1. Policy | Strategy
Contribution to the development and implementation of the of the Group’s HR strategy, policies and instruments.Translating the Group HR strategy into local HR policies and instruments and realizing highly effective execution of these policies within the country.
2. Business Partnering and Operational management
Developing a close contact with Action’s sales operations and acting as a genuine Partner for the business.
Listening, communicating and mediating effectively, and being a mature and positive negotiating partner in social relations.
Initiating, planning, implementing and coordinating HR related projects for the country and ensuring proper introduction and implementation of changes in the organization. Acting as a first point of contact for senior management on HR policy issues and strategic and tactical questions, informing them on new developments and identifying trends.
3. People management
Giving constructive feedback about the delivered performance and personal developments related to future requirements and priorities.Stimulating employees to join in on the thought process and to actively contribute to the development of new ideas and to learn from own experiences and those of others.
Creating a work environment in which employees are continuously stimulated to develop themselves.
Acting as a mentor or coach with the objective to develop the skills and competences of the employee.Responsibility for optimal staffing, for recruitment activities and for the retention rof employees within the department.
You have a university degree and a relevant experience of at least 8 years in a HR role, including minimum 4 years of experience in a management position within a dynamic and international environment. Extensive knowledge of current trends and practices within HR is key and next to being customer focused, pro-active and result driven, you have project management & analytical skills and are excellent with numbers. You have good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch, French and English.
